Now that our internal tests are finished, we would like to officially offer our CounterStrike:Source game menu for download. As soon as you have integrated it, you can access all 4played servers directly from the CS:S start page without having to open the server browser. Additionally we have integrated quick links to show the console or the network load.
Furthermore, we have also created a background image for the CounterStrike:Source main menu, together with the above game menu looks like this:
Download & unzip files
First you need to download and unzip the following two zip files to your computer:
Open CS:S directory
Now we still need to open the location of CounterStrike:Source on our computer, to do this simply perform the following six steps:
Integrate game menu:
To integrate the game menu you just have to navigate to the following subdirectory:
The previously unzipped "GameMenu.res" file must now be placed in this folder.
Add background image:
If you want to add the background as well, you have to go back to the main CS:S folder and open the following subdirectory there:
Once there, move the previously unzipped "my_custom_stuff" folder into the directory mentioned above. After that the background image will be active after a restart of CS:S.
More info:
If we change the servers over time, you will have to update the game menu manually again. For the future, we are planning a small Windows app that automates this process and also relieves you of the manual copying into the individual directories.
