Kills dropping

Evening folks I am not too sure how the rankings on the server work , I assumed they counted the kills to rank a player. If that is the case I am curious as to how my kills ? have dropped by about 1,000 at the very minimum . Are the rankings rated on kills or other measures Anywhoo , best server I have played on , apart from the occasional racist and cheats who drift in and then get banned
